Autism Camp

Each August, WLD Ranch hosts the Ann Kukla Summer Autism Camp, an overnight camp expereience for people with autism spectrum disorders. Begun by Ann Kukla, the program is now directed by her daughter Rebecca Wright. There is a program for younger people and older people. For information on sending a person to the Autism Camp or sponsoring a camper, please go to the Ann Kukla Summer Autism Camp website.

Rebecca Wright, Director of the Ann Kukla Summer Autism Camp, writes this about the unique partnership between WLD Ranch and AKSAC:
"We have developed such a great partnership with WLD Ranch over the years.  They have always been so accommodating and understanding of our needs.  They never hesitate to do what needs to be done to provide a safe and pleasant experience for all.  Over the years, WLD Ranch Staff have really taken the time to get to know and enjoy each camper’s unique personality.  WLD Ranch knows the needs of individual campers and prepare for our visit in many ways to ensure a smooth week.  As an organization, we strive to offer authentic camping experiences for children and adults with Autism of varying abilities.  WLD Ranch has made it a priority to work with us so that each camper can participate to the greatest extent possible in all camp activities.  Our successful partnership with WLD Ranch is directly related to the success of our organization.  We value this partnership greatly and continue to grow and strengthen each year."
