Heart's Desire

What is your heart’s desire? Does your heart’s desire match what God wants? Is your heart’s desire consistent with who you are? In Romans 10:1, Paul says, “Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved.” Did his heart’s desire match what God wants? Yes. Paul longs for the same thing that God desires – for lost people to be saved. Was Paul’s desire consistent with who Paul was? Certainly. Paul’s whole life was focused on helping people find God and grow closer to God. So Paul’s heart’s desire was appropriate for Paul and pleasing to God. What about you? Does your heart’s desire match what God wants? Is it something that is pleasing to God? Is your heart’s desire consistent with who you are? Does it fit you? Make sure your heart’s desire is what God has for you!
