Christ Arose

Jesus rose from the dead! On the night before His death, Jesus indicated that He would be returning to His Father and preparing a place for us. While He would be departing and the world would no longer see Him, Jesus assured His followers that they would see Him again. As night gave way to the day of His death, His followers found that Jesus must depart from them through death, yet He had declared that they would see Him again. Jesus had said to His followers: "In a little while the world will not see me any longer, but you will see me; because I live, you will live too" (John 14:19)
Because He lives, they would live too. There must have been such astonishment when they heard that the tomb was empty and finally grasped that death had not been able to keep a hold on Jesus! They would see Him again because He lives! He conquered sin and death. He paid the debt and opened the way to eternity with God for all who accept the forgiveness He offers and put their trust in Jesus alone to give them life forever in His presence. Because He lives, we who trust in Him will live too. Praise the Lord that He is risen. He is risen indeed.
